Here we go again. I knew I needed to take BEC in May, but, I had forgotten the last date on my Notice to Schedule (NTS) was May 6th. Of course, I just started to get into a groove and had planned to schedule my exam for May 18th. Well, I guess it’s time to put my studies into overdrive. One good thing is that I was really adding in some time for additional practice on the written simulations.
It took me a few days to be able to schedule my exam. The first day I went to review the available appointment times, the latest date was May 3rd. Knowing the schedule of open appointments changes regularly, I decided to wait through the weekend before I scheduled the appointment. Luckily, tonight an appointment time for May 6th opened up. Now I have my test date scheduled. Obviously, this is not the way I had intended for my CPA exam planning to go. It was a little unsettling at first but I have been steadily working through the study material. Despite a family emergency and significant work complications over the past month, I believe I have tried my best to fit in my studies without sacrificing the other things in life that are important to me.
I am now through Study Unit 16. I plan to complete the program tomorrow and then work through multiple practice tests over the next week. I am working through the Gleim study program in the sequence as presented and continue to find the sequencing very helpful in reinforcing my memory on the subject matter. The only thing I have added to the program is writing my own note cards for the information that I am having difficulty remembering. I find this practice helpful. I am still finding the Gleim CPA Review System easy to use and understand. The Gleim Review System does a great job of simplifying the information contained in the exam in both the audio files and books.
